OBS
wow. i'm back from OBS !
it seemed like it was yesterday that i was so worried about going to obs,
and now i'm like sitting in front of my computer.

DAY 1 :
we assembled in school and took bus to pungol jetty point.
i rmbed that we were feeling very hot and pekchek to have to wait with our heavy bags.
after waiting for a pretty long time,
finally got on the jetty and made our way to pulau ubin.
went to base camp.. camp 2.
we were group 2 .. aka COOK :D
seychee jesslyn yanhua rachel hoching ailing yawen qianqi ningqian(?) xiaohui(?) eric sizheng weisheng L-ton(??) and a guy whom i forgot his name.
lol.packed our bags in the store and did the introduction and blahblahblah.
our instructor was birin and he was lame and funny, hoho .
got our food and at first i thought it was for one day,
it was ALOT! in the end i realised it was to last for five days.. haha.
passed our valuables to birin for safe keeping and it rained for awhile.
first activity ever was a very common one,
the hand entangling thing?
we took a l o n g time to untangle ourselves,
and i was grabbed by the middle finger? it was being twisted arnd.. -.-
after that the rained stopped and we went. .
kayaking! :D
it was quite scary at first because we had to do the wet exit, and that is to capsize our boat.
and i was damn afraid! i scared i drown inside.
when me and jesslyn capsized for the first time,
i thought my head hit the kayak and i was damn panic lah.
in the end we went deeper and was supposed to capsize so that others can save us.
and i realised that capsizing was fun afterall! =.=
after kayaking went to bathe and stuffs..
at night we pitched our tents and cooked own food.
THE SMELL OF SOLID FUEL TABLETS SUCKS D:
at night i couldnt sleep.. typical seychee.
always cant sleep on first day of camp :D
jesslyn said i could wake her up to talk to me,
but i guess thats so cruel, depriving ppl of their slp.
so i stared at the tent for very l o n g before i fell aslp.. at least i think i did.

DAY 2:
woke up in the morning to build a raff for ourselves.
it was super tough to make and i bet most of us kena minor rope burns.
need to pull the ropes very hard ! D:
in the end we made it and i dint know that we would be so successful!
aww :D super proud of my grp can.
so we raffed to camp 1.
it was damn scary cause hoching was very excited and she kept falling into the water muahaha x) very hilarious.
camp 1 is indeed number 1.
it's like heaven lah.
when i reached there i saw shaojun and she was like,
" seychee want to eat or not, got alot of food! "
and then jiale ran out and say
"here no need cook one leh!they cook for you!"
and i was super stun.
it was really very cool!
the facilities were good and lunch was provided!
we learnt skills on rock climbing, like belaying.
but dint get to climb the super cool structure that i saw because no time D:
p.s. i saw shir falling off that structure and she was screaming like shit xD

DAY 3:
in the morning there was PT (?).
played some lame games which had one common objective-to make us run.
did rock climbing!
did it indoor cause it was raining like hell.
there is this cool rock wall that have this weird shape and is damn hard to climb.
since i was there i went to try and it was super scary.
needs alot of arm strength!
i managed to pass the red line ( :D:D ) but dint climb all the way up, DUH.
tired two times but it's just too scary.
like i can feel myself dropping!
i went like, "rachel im coming down!my hands are trembling."
"no!carry on! u can do it! "
"NO! I AM FALLING! "
"jiayou!"
"AHHHHHHHH" -drops-
nvm, very proud of myself alr :D
after that we went trekking.
some groups trekked in the morning from camp3 to camp1 and they were soaked cause of the rain.
they made it sound damn scary! like wild boars and big ants and whatever.
in the end it was not TOO bad luh.
the bagpacks were super heavy and me and jesslyn were the sweepers.
walked for very very long..and the paths are scary sometimes.
there was this part where we walked by the drain,
and then have to cross this mud path (?)
weisheng's shoes got stuck inside and he could only find one.
so he dint take it. poor him.
yeah and some called it OBI cause it looked like we were trekking in india =.=
in the end we finally reached camp3 and i was super happy :D
but there were no toilets and we couldnt bathe.
our toilet is kinda like..rocks?! ew i shant elaborate.
cooked magee mee at night and i think it was very romantic to eat while facing the sea.
it's super nice to sit by the shore at night! aww.
after that we had this little 3D gathering where jeffry told the ghost story.
i was damn scared i couldnt fall asleep at night so i covered my ears and went LALALA :D
after that had briefing on the sea expedition on the next day,
then we went to sleep {:
in the middle of the night our tent collapsed!
cause got a hole -.- so me jesslyn and xiaohui tried to fix it?
i was feeling irritated cause i wanted to sleep T.T
and we had to wake up at 1am to do duty lah.
somemore woke up at 4am the next day for expedition.
=.=

DAY 4:
sea expedition!
started our journey at about 8am.
was pretty excited.
at first it was easy and i felt damn relax.
but then when the tide changes we were suddenly paddling against the currents.
it was damn irritating because after paddling like hell for 30mins i still see the same things arnd me!?wanted to cry lah D:
but after that the tide was with us again and after five hours of paddling we reach camp2 again!
omg i was like super touched.
lol.but the expedition only really ended after we washed up all the kayaks and everything.
was super tiring and jeffry was being lame and playing with water.
after that did jetty jump , which birin called "leap of faith" haha.
IT WAS SUPER FUN.
so we did it a second time. i swear it was fun.
cleaned up, cooked and had a small talk with birin.
after that slept early. like real early. at about 9plus.
tired from expedition :X
our tents were by the shore and it was windy {:

DAY 5:
which is today.
was late in the morning AGAIN.
yes, we were never early for the five days in ubin.
=.=
cleaned up our stores and all the groups were desperately trying to find the things that they lost.
we lost quite a number of stuffs and in e end had to pay 2.80 each.
HAHAH xD
bought a obs shirt and i love it like crazy.
fyi, i have about 163 mosquito bites on me now.
yes i know thats ridiculous,
my blood is just too sweet i suppose.

haha. anyway.
obs was really a nice(?) experience luh.
i like the instructors and im so gonna miss them }:
although they might forget us the moment we leave ubin.
aww whatever. birin would be sleeping happily with his wife tonight {:



lol. i thought i would be less afraid of insects after OBS.
so i attempted to kill an insect that was loitering outside my room.
after staring at it for 5minutes i put the newspaper over it and screamed.
when i lift up the newspaper it was like overturned.
and i realised it had wings!
and it was like struggling to get up.
i took 10minutes before i had the courage to run pass it and get into my room.
before locking it outside. i wonder what's it doing now.
